The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL subject to the views of the Conservation Officer.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL proposed by Cllr. Hatcher, seconded by Cllr. Somers and agreed.  Parish Council Design Guide to be forwarded to applicant.

Erection of Tractor store outbuilding,

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL subject to the views of the Conservation Officer.  The Committee raised concern regarding security with the proposed personal door and the large glass doors/windows facing away from the house.

Proposed by Cllr. Gilbert, seconded Cllr. Bunyan and agreed.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL proposed by Cllr. Gilbert, seconded by

Cllr. Bunyan and agreed.

 

PLANNING APPEAL DECISION:

Dulwich Preparatory School, Corse Horn Lane, Cranbrook, Kent

Appeal A Ref: APP/M2270/W/21/3278971 & Appeal B Ref: APP/M2270/W/21/3285689

The above Appeals were dismissed.

 

TREE APPLICATIONS:

Trees; Common beech (T1) Fell to safe height (approx. 3m), Common ash x2 (G1) Fell to ground level, English Yew x 6 (G2) Reduce to a safe height (approx. 6m)

The Parish Council agreed that this application should be decided by the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Tree Officer.

 

REVIEW THE PLANNING & PRESERVATION COMMITTEE AIMS:

Following full discussion, the Aims of the Planning & Preservation Management Committee were updated as below:

Aims: To safeguard and enhance the built environment and character of Cranbrook & Sissinghurst Parish.

 Consider and make comments on planning applications, appeals and other planning documents including consultations.

  • Maintain expertise in planning matters and keep up to date with legislation
  • Develop relationship with TWBC and KCC Planning Departments
  • Maintain regular liaison/discussions with CCAAC, regarding Heritage and Conservation
  • Represent Parish interests, monitor and forward recommendations for the local planning process
  • Housing and other development – Assessment of needs.
  • Encourage highest quality build standards
  • Five Year Plan and Budget.

 TWBC PLANNING DECISIONS:

The Clerk read out the decisions received from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

 ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:

Cllr. Hatcher reported that the NDP Independent Examiner, Andrew Ashcroft had been appointed.  He had been in touch and would be visiting the Parish during December.
