Cllr. Bunyan asked that all applications for new dwellings should be forwarded the Cranbrook and Sissinghurst Eco Design Guild.

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reason:

  • Design not in keeping with nearby dwellings.

Proposed by Cllr. Bunyan, seconded by Cllr. Hatcher and agreed.  Protection should be considered on the South/West elevation to prevent overheating.

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reason:

Variation of Condition 2 of Planning Permission 21/03097/FULL (replacement of the two mobile homes with a dwellinghouse to provide onsite accommodation to support the equestrian business including all necessary operational development for landscaping) – Amending approved plans to facilitate changes to roof pitch, building height and position of dwelling, amending the position of a window, reconfirming approved drawing numbers.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL proposed by Cllr. Hatcher, seconded by Cllr. Gilbert and agreed.  Protection should be considered on the South/West elevation to prevent overheating.

Horse Chestnut (T1) reduce canopy by approximately 2 metres of branches overhanging the boundary, removal of elongated limb.

The Parish Council agreed to leave this decision to TWBC Tree Officer.

CORRESPONDENCE:

A&G Signs – on behalf of Berkeley Homes Ltd – Permission to erect directional signs on two lamp columns (details attached).

Following discussion, it was agreed to allow directional signs on the two lamp columns for a period of eighteen months after which A&G Signs would need to reapply for an extension of time.

APPEAL DECISION:

Appeal Ref: APP/M2270/W/21/3287392 – APPEAL DISMISSED

Land off Angley Road Cranbrook Kent TN17 2HF   Planning Application: 21/00519

Development of 35 residential units with associated garaging and parking and infrastructure including off site highway improvement works and a replacement pre-school children’s daycare nursery facility with associated car parking.

The Parish Council noted the above appeal decision.
