Although the houses would meet the local need for smaller homes, the Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reasons:

  • Lack of Design and Access Statement
  • There is no local non-selective secondary school
  • No sustainability details g. Photo voltaic, heat pumps, build standards which should be better than Building Regulations requirements, etc.
  • Increase in traffic on Frythe Estate
  • Concern with utility companies’ ability to supply

The Parish Council remained NEAUTRAL proposed by Cllr. Kings, seconded by Cllr. Bunyan and agreed to leave this decision to TWBC Planning Department.  The Parish Council have no objection to the new garage.
