The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL proposed by Cllr. Bunyan, seconded by Cllr. Gilbert and agreed.

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reasons:

 

  • Lack of non selective secondary school in Cranbrook
  • Concern with utility companies’ ability to supply

 

Proposed by Cllr. Hatcher, seconded by Cllr. Gilbert.  Voting 3 in favour, 3 against.  The Chairman used her casting vote in favour of refusal.

 

If Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are minded to approve this application the Parish Council would prefer it to be a two bed property.

  • The Rural and Community Housing Enabling Service invited members to attend an online meeting to help identify and support delivery of local needs housing. The Session is schedule for 8th November 12.30pm-1.30pm.  Those interested in attending to contact the Clerk.

 

  • Rural Services Network are holding a seminar on Rural Planning online via zoom 11.00-13:00 Wednesday 25th  All members wishing to attend to register direct.

 

  • The Committee noted the Secretary of State’s decision to refuse Berkeley Homes application for 165 dwellings on land adjacent to Turnden, Hartley Road, Cranbrook Kent has now been quashed by consent. The sealed Court order was received and the matter will now return to the Secretary of State to reconsider.
