Conversion of garage to annexe, including forming new windows and door openings.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL on condition that the annexe remains ancillary to the main dwelling.

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reasons:

Trees: OAK (T1) – Reduce away from the neighbours property by approximately 2 metres (leaving approximately 5 metres) branches and growth which are close to the building cut back to appropriate branch axils. Raise crown to approximately 5 metres and remove major deadwood. 

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL, subject to the views of TWBC Tree Officer.

ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:

  • Cllr. Bunyan reported that she had attended a remote meeting with Cllr. Fletcher on the proposed new planning regulations at which Stephen Baughen, (TWBC Head of Planning Department) gave a presentation.  The Clerk informed the meeting that Stephen Baughen would be giving the same presentation at the next Full Council Meeting.  Cllr. Hall commented that it was very important that individuals make comments on the proposed new planning policies.
  • Cllr. Hall resigned from the Planning & Preservation Committee as she now sat on the Borough Planning Committee.  Cllr. Smith thanked her for her contributions and welcomed her to attend any future meetings.
  • Cllr. Smith updated the Planning Committee on the progress of the St. Georges Institute.  A meeting had been held recently with Fernham Homes; however. land registry was progressing slowly.
