21/00584/FULL
Dulwich Preparatory School, Course Horn Lane, Cranbrook, Kent.  TN17 3NP

Erection of a pair of semi-detached houses and one detached house.  Revised siting and design for Plots 6, 7 & 8.  Revised parking and garaging arrangements.  Incorporation of additional land in the garden areas of Plots 6, 7 & 8 (revisions to planning permission 19/02136/FULL)

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reasons:

  • The development is outside the limits to build development area
  • Access and parking concerns.  This development is on rural unadopted lane not able to cope with increased traffic.

Money secured regarding Section 106 funding should be allocated as agreed in Application 19/02136/FULL

Note:  Whilst accepting there is some improvement regarding layout and gardens, the original principle for rejection still stands.

Proposed by Cllr. Hatcher, seconded by Cllr. Smith and agreed with 1 abstention.

Erection of 2no. detached two-bedroom dwellings with the provision of associated access, parking, amenity, landscaping and bio-diverse enhancements.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL.  The Parish Council requests that permitted development rights are removed and the pedestrian access is improved.

Proposed by Cllr Fermor, seconded by Cllr Bunyan and approved with 2 abstentions.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL.

The Parish Council recommended REFUSAL for the following reason:

  • No objection to conversion of garage to ancillary accommodation, but Parish Council were concerned about the height of the replacement double garage with room above. This should be single storey.

Proposed erection of a single replacement dwelling with solar panels, detached garage and annexe outbuilding with proposed landscaping following the demolition of existing dwelling and associated structures.

The Parish Council remained NEUTRAL.

Proposed by Cllr. Gilbert, seconded by Cllr. Smith and agreed.  However, concern was expressed regarding the overall height of the replacement dwelling.

The Parish Council recommended APPROVAL.

Proposed by Cllr. Gilbert, seconded by Cllr Smith and agreed on condition that the new holiday let remains ancillary to the main dwelling.
