Guides

girl-guiding-logo

Guides have a chance to get out there and do something really different. They are girls aged 10 to 14 who explore new places, go on camps, holidays and trips, meet new friends at events like the BIG GIG, and try exciting activities. By joining you can become part of a worldwide community of girls who come together to have fun, learn and make things happen. Discover how at www.girlguiding.org.uk/guides. We meet in Cranbrook on Friday evenings, for details contact cranbrookguides@gmail.com

Bell Ringers Wanted

We urgently need more ringers at St Dunstans, anyone between 12 and 112 can join us. If you have an hour to spare, why not give it a try? Our practice night is on Tuesday at 7.30, you will probably hear us! We will give you a tour of the Tower and Belfry, which houses our Peal of 8 bells. You could also help to wind our historic clock, that was made in 1856, by F. Dent. It strikes each hour on the Tenor, which weighs in at 21cwt.

You can be assured of a warm welcome, and will literally be shown the ropes. You don’t have to be that strong as it’s technique and practice that you will need to learn.

For further information please contact robert.munn@hotmail.co.uk
