- Paul Mallions of Conker Construction had been invited to give a talk on PassivHaus system of insulation and house building. He spoke at length, and such was the interest, he was subjected to a lengthy question and answer session.
Steve Baughan, deputy Head of Planning at TWBC, expressed the opinion that PHaus was unlikely to be adopted by volume housebuilders, though self- build individuals would continue to find it attractive.
- LH advised she had visited Headcorn to speak with the leader of their NDP team, which has now reached the end of the process. He was extremely helpful and she felt their document, although very long, could operate as a template, so that our progress to completion could be expedited more rapidly than normal.
The advice from the meeting with DA was to get the public meetings and the survey done as soon as possible, especially while evenings are lighter. The survey provides the evidence base for our policies, so that we cannot move forward without it. LH suggested she arrange a public meeting as soon as possible. TK asked her to fix up a date and venue.
