Cranbrook School 500th Anniversary event

Cranbrook School warmly invite you to attend the first event in a series of talks to celebrate Cranbrook School’s 500th Anniversary.

” Is our Tax System fair?”

Speaker: Rob Joyce, Associate Director – Institute for Fiscal Studies, and old Cranbrookian

7.30pm, Monday 8 January in the Queen’s Hall Theatre at Cranbrook School (Refreshments in the Dining Hall from 7pm)

The talk will be of topical interest essentially to anyone who pays their taxes, and will be given by top Economist Rob Joyce. An Old Cranbrookian, Rob gained a top PPE degree from Oxford and then a Masters in Economics from UCL. He is now Associate Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, running the Income, Work and Welfare sector. He is an editor of the annual IFS Green Budget and his main research interests are income distribution and the design and effects of the tax and benefit system.
